Biography

Xu Xiaofang, Chief Physician, PhD, received a master's degree from the Eye and ENT Hospital of Fudan University in 2007 and graduated from Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2010. Under the mentorship of Professor Fan Xianqun, a renowned oculoplastic surgeon in China (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Ministry of Education “Changjiang Scholar” Distinguished Professor, President of the Sixth Asia-Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Dean of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine), obtained a doctoral degree. From February 2014 to February 2015, served as a visiting scholar at Stanford University School of Medicine for one year. Has published more than 30 SCI-indexed papers, including 16 SCI-indexed papers as first and/or corresponding author, among which 1 paper has an impact factor >10 and 5 papers have an impact factor >5. As a principal investigator and major contributor, participated in the completion of five National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, one Special Fund for Health Industry of the Ministry of Health, one international cooperation project and one key project of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and one Shanghai Natural Science Foundation project. As a major contributor, received the First Prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2012, the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education in 2013, the First Prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2017, and the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2018.
